Strasbourg is the capital and principal city of the Alsace région in northeastern France. With 702,412 inhabitants in 2007, its metropolitan area is the ninth largest in France. Located close to the border with Germany.

How to reach Strasbourg

By plane :

Situated only 15 minutes from the city centre and the conference venue (Illkirch-Graffenstaden), the international airport of Strasbourg-Entzheim is extending its connections with major French and European cities.

The proximity of Paris airport (2h20mn away by record-breaking East TGV high-speed train), Frankfurt and Zurich airports, only two hours' drive away, and Basel-Mulhouse Euroairport only 1h15 away, greatly enhances the possibilities of access to intercontinental flights.

Location of the conference

EA 2009 will take place at the Pôle API located at Illkirch in the buildings of National Engineering School of Physics of Strasbourg (ENSPS).

How to reach the conference site

By Train

From the Strasbourg train station, take line A of the tramway towards Illkirch, station "Campus d'Illkirch" (above 30 min). Then refer to the map below to find the building.

By Plane

A train link (TER) connects the Entzheim airport to Strasbourg train station every 15 minutes (more info here ). Then refer to instructions above. Another possibility is taxi, since Entzheim is only 10 km away from Illkirch.
